  • In humans, different hormones are present in males and females which regulate human reproduction. these are produced by gonads and adrenal glands.
  • These are responsible for puberty or primary changes.
  • Facial hair, moustaches and pubic hair all are due to changes during puberty and are primary changes.
  • Menstruation, Menopause and stress influence the hormonal level.
  • Progesterone is produced by the adrenal gland, ovaries and placenta and estrogen by the ovaries.
  • Testosterone is also produced in females but is low.
  • The hypothalamus controls testosterone production.
