Gastrin:
- Gastric is a gastrointestinal tract hormone. Gastric is a local hormone secreted from the G cells of stomach, pancreas, and duodenum.
- It helps in the pushing of K+ H+ pumps in parietal cell membrane increasing acid secretion in stomach. It also binds with cholecystokinin B receptors increasing histamine secretion in the enterochromaffin like cells.
Enterogastrone:
- Enterogasterone is also a local hormone secreted from duodenal mucosa in response to the high lipid content in the diet.
- This increases the action of pyloric sphincter which slows down the release of chyme into the duodenum.
