There are basically three courses of a river, which is upper course, middle and lower course.
Potholes are cylindrical shaped holes of different sizes and shaped drilled into the river bed on the upper course of river. V-shaped valleys are also found on upper course.
Meanders are bends that found on the middle course of rivers when sinuosity of river increases.
Oxbow lakes are another landform found in the middle course.
Deltas are formed due to deposition of soil at the mouth of the river.
Flood plains are another feature of lower course.
