Isolation of DNA from any cell was done using following procedure:-
1) Enzymatic treatment: cell wall, cell membrane and nuclear membrane digested using specific enzymes (proteases, lipases etc..)
2) Nucleic acid precipitation: After the enzymatic treatment, all the biomolecules except nucleic acid were in monomeric form
chilled ethanol is used to precipitate nucleic acid from that soloution
3)Removal of RNA contamination : After nucleic acid precipitation, RNAase were added to digest the RNA
4) Fishing out of desirable gene: desirable gene is removed out from total DNA by using specific enzyme 'Restriction Endonuclease'( Molecular scissors)
