Mention the types of changes that occur around us. Write two examples of each.
Answers
Answer:
There are two types of changes, viz. reversible and irreversible.Examples of reversible
include changes in the size or shape of matter. Changes of state—for example, from solid to liquid or from liquid to gas—are also physical changes. Some of the processes that cause physical changes include cutting, bending, dissolving, freezing, boiling, and melting.
Types of changes that occurs are -
- Physical and chemical change
- Reversible and irreversible change.
Physical change
Physical change refers to the change where only physical state is changed and constituents of matter remain same.
Example - melting of ice, breaking of glass.
Chemical change
Chemical change refers to change where new substance is formed and these are irreversible.
Example - Cracking egg, burning the woods.
Reversible change
Reversible change refers to change where original substance can be obtained.
Example - closing and opening of stomata, conversion of water from liquid to vapour.
Irreversible change
Irreversible change refers to change where new substances formed cannot be converted back to substrate.
Example - cracking egg, rusting.
