Concave mirrors and convex lens both form real images. They form virtual images only when the object is very close to them. Some uses are cited below:

CONCAVE MIRROR

1) It is used as make-up mirror to get a nice view of the face.

2) It is also used as dentist's mirror to get a nice big view of the teeth.

3) The torch reflector has a concave surface.

CONVEX LENS

1) It is used as magnifying glass to see small things.

2) The glass of spectacles are actually convex lens.
