✫ Function of stomata are :
1) A stomata is a tiny opening or pore that is used for gas exchange.
They are mostly found on the under-surface of plant leaves.
2) Stomata control gas exchange. When open, these pores allow carbon dioxide in, and oxygen and water out.
3) Stomata helps in transpiration.
4) Stomata also has a role to play in Phloem transport. Help in photosynthesis.
5) It also helps in in breathing of the plants.
6) It also have a function to open and close stomatal pores.

The two functions of stomata are:
- Stomata are plant structures and are found abundantly in plants' leaves.
- Stomata consist of guard cells, subsidiary cells and the stomatal pore.
- Guard cells are parenchymatous cells surrounding the stomatal pore.
- The stomata mainly function in gaseous exchange such as CO2.
- Opening and closing of stomata facilitate the gaseous exchange.
- Stomata is the structure which is involved in transpiration. transpiration is the evaporation of water through the leaf surface.
