Two sources of threat to human beings are terrorism and global poverty.

Terrorism:

"Terrorism can be defined as the calculated use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. "

Global poverty:

"Global poverty is defined as the number of people worldwide who live on less than $1.90 a day"

Threat to human beings:

  • In terrorism the goal is to create fear and to destroy sense of security among people. To achieve this they mainly target important landmarks and political structures. Since the victimas are often the innocent civilians, terrorism is termed as criminal offence.
  • Less than $1.90 per day per person is defined as extreme poverty by the World Bank. This will eventualy affect education, healthcare and also cause joblessness.
  • Other threat includes violation of human rights, which means human being deprived of their fundamental rights. Another dangerous threat includes health epidemic, which is the increased spread of fatal diseases affecting human population.
