Brihadishvara Temple, also known as  Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyar Koyil, is a Hindu temple revered to Shiva situated in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India.

The most striking feature of the temple is its height.The maim tower of the temple has a height of 250ft and has a record being the tallest in the world. The temple has a massive colonnaded corridor and one of the largest Shiva lingas in India.It is also known for the quality of its sculpture as well as the brass Nataraja – Shiva as the lord of dance.
