Adaptations by which animals survive in a cold climate are as follows -

• Growth of thick skin or thick layer of fur,helps a lot to stay warm in the extreme cold climatic conditions.

• Hibernation also helps a lot to spend the cold climate by losing least amount of body energy without any problems of hypothermia.

Adaptations of conifers are as follows -

• The leaves of the conifiers are like needle in shape which reduces the surface for water vaporization.

• The leaves are also coated with a wax layer which also reduces the amount of water vaporization in order to preserve the water in the body of the conifiers.
