mentione the three main functions performed by nephron
Answers
Functioning of nephron involves 3 main steps: -
1. Blood entering glomerulas caries waste materials which are filtered out by bowman's capsule. Walls of glomerulas is very thin and perneable. This property of membranes allows water and small molecules to pass through them. The filtration occurs under high pressure . The filtrate enters the tubles
2. The filtrate which enters the tubular portion contain some useful substance like water, glucose, amino acid , apart from wastes. The useful substance are re-absorbed.
3. Some harmful substances like creatinine, ammonia ions ,etc are secreted into filtrate while passing through the tubules.
Finally the fluid is collected by the collecting ducts and removed from the body as urine.
1.It converts blood into urine.
2.A nephron is responsible for removing waste products, stay ions.
3. Return substances like sodium, potassium or phosphorus whenever any of these substances run low in your body.
