Mercury and bromine have very low melting point nd high boiling point.
Explanation:
- The mercury atoms have a very weak binding in between them. As a result, very little energy is required to separate the boiling points. Due to this reason, mercury and bromine have low melting points, are poor conductors of electricity and also poor conductors of heat.
- The melting point of mercury is -38.83 °C and the melting point of bromine is -7.2 °C.
