◆ Merismetic tissue are found in the growing parts of plants. They are areas in plants were continuous mitotis occurs, and due to this cell division, it is where growth occurs more.
◆ Apical meristems---- It is at the tip of plant's stem or root which is responsible for the vertical growth of plant.
◆ Lateral meristems---- It is found at tip of lateral growth in plants. They are responsible for the growth in girth.
◆ Intercalary meristems---- Ot is present at the base of leaves or internodes.
