Meristematic tissues consist of undifferentiated, actively dividing cells.
They are of three types-:
1. Apical meristem- Bring elongation in root and stem.
2. Lateral meristem- Increase thickness of plant in diameter .
3. Intercalary meristematic- Increase the internode length .
