Merits-

• Extra attention and proper care is given to individual students which is not possible in schools as the class size is very big there.

• Students are able to explore new learning style.

• Children can get more clearly and deeply explanation from teachers.

Demerits-

• One of the disadvantages of tuition is that it may be too expensive. To some, private tuition is a luxury because some parents are unable to afford tuition for their children. If their children had no choice but were to take up tuition classes, it would only add to the parents' financial burden.
• The child have to do a lot of work. This can cause the child to become depressed.

• Child loses independence because, there is no time for self study and it is as if the child is being spoon fed all though the education.
• The child overworks.
