Merits :-1. It provides a compulsory education to the children in the age group of 7-14 years.
2.Mid Day Meal programs are launched in order to get the children in the school who were eager to read but they can't because of their poverty.
3.Free Education is provided.
4.Cycles are also given to the students.
Demerits :-There is one demerit that the chain of the officials involved in this are so corrupt that they are taking the money provided for the betterment of the students.
