DEMERITS:

solar cooker is high priced... difficult for common man to buy....

maintenance cost is very high

!! SOLAR COOKER !!

ADVANTAGE :-

The energy used is free of cost and pollution Free .

More then one food item can be cooked simultaneously and with no loss of nutrient value (Because of Low temperature).

When Vegetables / Pulses are cooked at high temperature , a number of nutrients are lost.

DISADVANTAGES :-

It can not be used at night and on cloudy days.

The position of the solar cooker and reflector need to be changed time to time so that it faces the sum.

It can not be used for high temperature cooking applications like making chappaties , frying or Baking .

It also takes more time for cooking as compared to a Gas stove.
