Question:- The length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 3:2 . If the area of the field is 3456 m². find the cost of fencing it at Rs 60/m².

LET THE LENGTH OF RECTANGLE=3X

AND BREADTH=2X

ATQ

L xB =3456

3X x 2X =3456

6X^2 =3456

X^2=3456/6

X^2=576

X=√576

X=24

L=3(24)=72m

B=2(24)=48m

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(72+48)

=2(120)

=240m

cost of fencing 1m^2=60

for 3456m^2=3456 x 60

=21360 rs.

So,area of field = ( 3x X 2x ) = (6x²)

:- PERIMETER OF FIELD = 2(l+b) units
