Answer:

HEY MATE,

As above said,

Metal + Water Metal Oxide + Hydrogen

It is not possible. It will be

Metal +WaterMetal Hydroxide + Hydrogen

This means that when Metals react with Water to form Metal Hydroxide with the evolution of Hydrogen gas.

Eg: 2Na(s) + 2H2O(l) 2NaOH(aq) + H2(g)

2K(s) + 2H2O(l) 2KOH(aq) + H2(g)

HOPE IT HELPS YOU
