* Metals:

1. Metals are solid at the room temperature.

2.metals have a lusture in their pure state and can be polished to give a highly reflective surface.

3. metals are malleable i.e they can be hammered into thin sheets.

4.metals are ductile i.e they can be drawn into wire.

5.metals are a good conductors of heat and electricity.

6.metals have a high density.

7.metals are sonorous.

8. metals are hard

9. metals have high melting and boiling points.

* non metals

1. non metals are either solid or gaseous state at the room temperature.

2.non metals usually do not have a lusture.

3.non metals are not malleable.

4. non metals are not ductile.

5. non metals do not conduct electricity or heat i.e they are bad conductors of heat and electricity.

6.non metals have low densities.

7. non metals are not sonorous.

8. non metals are not hard.

9. non metals have low melting and boiling points.
