As per the given question, the respective values of X, Y, Z, which will balance the equations presented here, MgCl_2.XH_2O, CaCl_2.YH_2O, BaCl_2.ZH_2O, are as follows :-

The value of X in MgCl_2.XH_2O or Magnesium Chloride with Water is 8.

The value of Y in CaCl_2.YH_2O or Calcium Chloride with Water is 6.

And, the value of Z in BaCl_2.ZH_2O or Barium Chloride with Water is 2.

The values of X can be 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12; the values of Y can be 1, 2, 4, or 6; and the value of Z is 2

- Magnesium chloride can have a no of hydrates having 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12 molecules of hydrated water.

⇒ The value of X = 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12

- Calcium chloride can also have a no of hydrates having 1, 2, 4 or 6 molecules of hydrated water.

⇒ The value of Y = 1, 2, 4 or 6

- Barium Chloride exists as a dihydrate, i.e., BaCl2.2H2O

⇒ The value of Z = 2
