Solution:

if Michael was 13 years old in 1980

Then we expect in 1985  that Michael will be 13 + 5 = 18 years

As we assume that years we are taking are in AD (Anno Domini)

How ever In years before Christ ( BC) years were in reverse order

Hence

in Michael was in 8 year old in  1985 BC

Then 5  years later it would be 1980 BC

Hence Michael will be 13 years old in 1980 BC
