Michelle is planting flowers in her garden. She wants the ratio of daisies to carnations to be 3 to 2. Michelle wants to plant a total of 40 flowers. How many daisies should she plant?

Solution : -

multiple of ratio be x

3x + 2x = 40

5x = 40

x = 8

daisies number she plant : - 3x ( put x = 8 )

= 3 x 8

= 24

Number of daisies she plant is 24
