We can’t exactly say whether microorganisms are boon or a bane to human kind. On the beneficial activities of microbes, our daily lives are depending and they play an invaluable roe in our day to day life. Microbes play an important role in the ecosystems and their ability to recycle nutrients stored in organic matter to an inorganic form is necessary to maintain life on earth. Without the microbial action, the whole earth would be filled with corpses. Microbes are involved in the breakdown of dead organisms and nutrients will be released in the environment for recycling. They may be involved in so many diseases and infections, and then also we can’t imagine a life on earth without them. So in some aspects it may be a boon or in some aspects it’s a curse. But we need them.
