Microbes require a particular condition to grow. Microbes grow at a particular temperature, if the the temperature of increased or decreased, the microbes die.

But some microbes such as Listeria monocytogenes can thrive in cold temperature. This bacteria can grow in your refrigerator and can cause you food borne illness.

Thus some microbes can even grow in refrigerators.

Hope it helps ^_^
