Given :-

Cost price of a furniture :- ₹4500

Cost spent on it's repairs :- ₹300

\:

To Find :-

Selling price of that furniture if it's sold at profit of 2.5%.

\:

Formula required :-

{\large \dashrightarrow \orange{\boxed{\tt \gray{\dfrac{(100 + Profit \bf\%)}{100} \times CP}}}}

\:

How to do :-

Here, we are given with the cost price and some cost that spent on it's repairs. We are also given with the profit percentage obtained of that furniture when it's sold. We are asked to find the selling price of that furniture. So, first we should find the total cost price of that furniture by adding the given cost price and the cost spent on it's repairs. After finding that, we can find the selling price of that furniture by using the given formula. So, let's solve!!

\:

Solution :-

Total cost price :-

{\tt \leadsto 4500 + 300}

{\tt \leadsto Rs \: \: 4800}

\:

Now,

Selling price of the furniture :-

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{(100 + 2.5)}{100} \times 4800}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{102.5}{100} \times 4800} = \dfrac{1025}{1000} \times 4800

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{1025}{\cancel{1000}} \times \cancel{4800} = \dfrac{1025}{5} \times 24}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{1025 \times 24}{5} = \dfrac{24600}{5}}

{\tt \leadsto \cancel \dfrac{24600}{5} = \boxed{\tt Rs \: \: 4920}}

\Huge\therefore The selling price of that furniture is 4920.

Given :-

  • Cost price of a furniture :- ₹4500

  • Cost spent on it's repairs :- ₹300

To Find :-

  • Selling price of that furniture if it's sold at profit of 2.5%.

Formula required :-

{\large {\boxed {\sf {\green{\dfrac{(100 + Profit \%)}{100} \times CP}}}}}

Solution :-

Total cost price :-

{\sf \leadsto 4500 + 300}

{\sf \leadsto Rs \: \: 4800}

Selling price of the furniture :-

{\sf \leadsto \dfrac{(100 + 2.5)}{100} \times 4800}

 {\sf \leadsto \dfrac{102.5}{100} \times 4800} = \dfrac{1025}{1000} \times 480

{\sf\leadsto \dfrac{1025}{\cancel{1000}} \times \cancel{4800} = \dfrac{1025}{5} \times 24}

{\sf \leadsto \dfrac{1025 \times 24}{5} = \dfrac{24600}{5}}

{\sf \leadsto \cancel \dfrac{24600}{5} =  Rs \: \: 4920}

∴ The selling price of that furniture is ₹4920.
