Mike decided to carry out a calculation. He would hop a pawn across all 64 squares of a chess board.

Starting with 1 for the first square, he would multiply the previous result with 2, for every square

hopped. i.e. after hopping the second square, the result becomes 1 x 2 = 2; after hopping the third

square, the result becomes 2 x 2 = 4; and so on.

The result obtained by dividing the result after the 63rd hop by the result after the 61" hop is.

Answer:

after 63 hop the result is 2⁶³

after 61 hop the result is 2⁶¹

2⁶³÷2⁶¹

in division when numbers are same the powers get subtracted

2⁶³÷2⁶¹=2⁶³-⁶¹

=2²

2²= 4

The result obtained by dividing the result after the 63rd hop by the result after the 61" hop is 4
