Answer: Hey Mate! This is the summary of the chapter. Sorry I can't provide you the mind map. I've written this summary myself, so avoid any mistakes if I did.

Explanation:This story, by Mukta Munjal, set in the backwaters of Allepey town of Kerela, where boat races are going to be held on the occasion of Onam festival, once again proves that, “You reap what you sow.” It also gives us a brief account about the boat races held in Kerela.

In the opening scene, Kuttan, a young boy, is very excited as he is going to row in tomorrow’s boat race as the youngest boat rower. He, along with Sukumaran (his friend), paddles way from the bustling marketplace to the spot where the two Karichals were tied. On his way of the trip to look at the two boats, he tells Sukumaran that Nilkantha Pillai, the owner of the two Karichals, is going to sell one of the boats which loses in tomorrow’s race. Kuttan’s father was the captain of Karichal-1 and Kesavan’s father, the captain of Karichal-2. On reaching the place, they both catch the sight of the astonishing beauty of the two boats (who look identical, except for one and two), but later, come across a dark secret. They both discover that their Karichal-1 has been deliberately damaged and lots of holes have been made on the bottom of both sides of the boat, and stuffed with cork, by Kesavan and Unni, sons of captain of Karichal-2. Kuttan and Sukumaran go back home. Kuttan doesn’t tell about this sabotage to his father. Kuttan but tells about this incident to his younger brother Vasu. He then makes a clever plan and with Sukumaran and Vasu, goes to the place where the two boats were moored and set to work to proceed the plan. After the work was over, they all returned home. The next morning, Kuttan wakes up early, gets ready and starts to think whether to tell the secret to his father or not. ‘No’, he decides. Thousands of people dressed in bright colourful attires appear to the location where the boat race was going to be held. Kuttan takes his position in the boat with pride. Crackers sparkled, gunshots were fired and the race began. Kuttan’s boat surges forward. A moment later, loudspeakers boom informing that Karichal-2 was filling with water, and thus, had to stop. On the other hand, Karichal-1 keeps charging forward at a very fast pace and wins the race. That moment of delight and merriment engulfed the canals of Allepey. Vasu and Sukumaran join Kuttan in his moment of glory. Vasu compliments on Kuttan’s clever idea of changing the numbers and positions of the two Karichals. Opposite to this, Kesavan and Unni stand grounded in shock trying to understand that what had happened.

The story tells us that “if one does good deeds, good comes to him/her and if one indulges in bad or evil activities, it leads to his/her downfall.” It also asserts that ‘Wisdom is Supreme’.
