Energy resources are of two types based on their sources:

• Renewable resources:

These can be replenished or recycled

Example, Solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity

• Non-renewable resources:

These cannot be replenished or recycled and takes many many years to form again

Example, coal, petroleum, natural gas etc

Mineral resources are of the following types:

• Metallic and  

• Non- metallic

They are mostly obtained by mining and can be recycled.
