Minaj-i-Siraj was a great historian of medieval period. He was Chief Qazi of Delhi during Slave Dynasty. He completed his chronicle Tabaqat-i- Nasri in 1260 which records the history of Muslims from prophets to Delhi Sultanate. Some of the facts given by him about the Delhi Sultanate are :

1.  He tells us about the invasion of Mahmud Ghori and the establishment of Delhi Sultanate.

2. He tells us about how Iltutmish protected Delhi Sultanate from Mongol invasions under Changez Khan. He says that Iltutmish kept the  banner of Islam high when all the other Muslim powers were being wiped out by the Mongols.

3. He tells that Raziya Sultan was the most capable among his siblings but her problem was her gender. So he says male chauvinism lead to her downfall.

4.  He also tells us about the personal life of Delhi Sultans.

5.  He tells us about the conspiracies of nobles and amirs in the court. He tells us how the nobility opposed Raziya as Sultan of Delhi.
