Miners and the people in areas with mines suffer from various types of health hazards. Not only the miners are exposed to pulmonary diseases by inhaling dust and dangerous fumes in the mines, they are vulnerable to collapsing mine roofs and flooding. The water bodies in such cities are polluted and contaminated by waste and slurry. The air is thich with particulate matter. Care has to be taken not to pollute the water sources and waste and slurry disposal has to be done in a scientific manner. Trees have to be planted in great numbers to mitigate air pollution. Most importantly mining activities should be done as less as possible and should not over-exploit the resources to the extent of baring the Earth.
