Mirror is man s best friend in youth and the worst enemy in old age. Write a paragraph on it with reference to the poem mirror
Answers
Mirror is neither anyone’s friend nor enemy. Mirror just reflects back the truth and reality. Similarly mirror reflects a man’s own optimism, hope, beauty during his youth. Youth is a period of dreams, aspirations and hopes. Man takes immense pride in looking his own reflection in the mirror. With brightness in his own eyes when he looks at the mirror, he finds his reflection quite appealing. In that happy state of mind he feels mirror is his friend; however mirror just reflects his own brightness and joviality. On the other hand in old age man is a bundle of regrets, depression, worries and gloom. He is either repenting over the past mistakes of his life or pondering over the imminent death. When he looks himself in the mirror, it reflects back the sad state of mind of the old man. So, we can say mirror is neither anyone’s friend nor enemy.
