Blue ribbon length = $\frac{5}{8}$ + \frac{1}{2} = \frac{5}{8} + \frac{4}{9} = 1\frac{1}{8} meters

Length of the entire ribbon =  \frac{5}{8} +  \frac{9}{8} =  \frac{14}{8} =  \frac{7}{4} = 1 \frac{3}{4} meters

So, the length of the entire tape Mita is  1 \frac{3}{4} meters
