Mitral valve is found between left auricle and left ventricle.

Miral valve is the valve that regulates blood flow from one chamber of the heart, i.e. left atrium to another chamber called left ventricle.

During mitral valve prolapse, a part of mitral valve slips in backwards side into a chamber called left atrium.

This happens during each heartbeat when the main heart muscle called left ventricle squeezes.

While during mitral valve stenosis, the valve is stiff and constricted.
