MnO is basic while Mn2O7 is acidic nature

in d block oxide higher oxidation state compound are acidic, lower oxidation state compound are basic while middle one are amphoteric. here o.s of mn in MnO is +2 and o.s of Mn in Mn2O7 is +7.

mno is magniseum oxide on electrolysis it gives the oh-ions andMn2o7 is acidic because it gives the h+ ions
