Dear Alex,
Hope you are safe and happy. I really wanted to write this letter to you so that you would know what I did yesterday.
Yesterday, I met a boy named Anil who was really sweet and caring. He taught me how to cook basic dishes, write my name and also told that he will teach how to add numbers. I was so grateful. However, it is pretty hard for a person to just give up a hobby that he had been doing for a while. Even though Anil had been so helpful, I couldn’t help but steal 600 rupees that was kept under his mattress.
However, as I was waiting at the platform for my train, I felt a sense of guilt in my heart. I had robbed the person who had shown the courtesy to teach me things I had no idea of. I realized that if I could study properly from Anil, I could earn much more than I did from that of stealing. Henceforth, I returned back to Anil’s home hoping he wouldn’t notice what had happened. From that day onwards, I even decided that I would never steal in my life and earn just by hard work. This incident indeed had a huge impact on my life and I would never forget it.
