Hello student,

  • The Area of triangle APB = 16√3 cm².
  • The Area of triangle BQC = 9√3 cm².
  • The Area of UFO ( the whole region ) = 114.6 cm².

Check in the above attachments, i had solved the question with my handwritten answer sheets. So go through and understand it.

Q. Now your doubt is, Why i used Heron's law ?

A: The answer is, In the the question there is no right angled triangles ( bcz there is no mentioning of, 90° or given height, ).

》Note, if a triangle is right-angled: The area will be = 1/2 × base × Height.

》If a triangle is other than right-angled but not mentioning equilateral, isosceles or scalene: The area will be used here is Heron's Law. ( For reference, see in the above attachment ).

》Area of equilateral triangle = √3/4 × a².
