In a world we live in today there are many things we see that divides us as a society, things like sports, politics, sexual preferences, religion and a lot more. We can even be separated by something so simple like what clothes we wear on our back. Most people will generalize our use of clothing as just something we wear so we do not expose our self and cause some indecency, but really it has a more greater impact than just that. Clothes in almost every type of society has meaning. People can use fashion as an indirect way to express themselves. Guys, boys, and men (I would include some women as well) have become obsessed with Jordan's. The shoe brand started in 1984 and have been obsessed over ever since. Don't think I'm overexaggerating by when I say obsessed. These shoes can range in prices from 70 dollars to 500 dollars. People go through extremes on getting these shoes. I've personally saw someone base their paycheck on shoes, it was like they made payments on them like car payments. Rappers will rap about the coolest shoe that they rock, and that only makes them more popular. You wouldn’t assume that someone could easily spend 400 plus dollars on shoes without hesitation. After they have 15 pairs or so they calm down and want to start trading these shoes. It's like they are some sort of game card. They trade certain limited addition for another. Trying to catch them all. Keeping them in tip top shape, can't walk through mud puddles and even going to the extreme of actually buying shoe covers to store in your backpack in case in rains. People will rob one another for these shoes like they are some sort of precious gem. There have been fights in schools all across America over something so radical like these shoes. You can get yourself in trouble if you even accidentally step on these shoes. It's all in the name of the brand.
