Mohan and Sitara were wrapping gift boxes of dimensions 80 cm × 20 cm × 50 cm and 40 cm × 10 cm × 25 cm respectively. But Mohan could cover only half of his box with the wrapping paper he had. Then Sitara suggested that his wrapping paper would help her to cover her box exactly since the dimensions of her box were just half of Mohan’s gift box. Is she correct? Justify.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Sitara is wrong . Because Tsa of a cuboid = 2(lb + l h + b h)

So, Mohan's box - 2( 80 ×20 + 80× 50 + 20 × 50) = 2 × 1600 + 4000 + 1000 = 11200 cm ²

Sitara box - 2 (40 × 10 + 40 × 25 + 10 × 25)

2 ( 400 + 1000 + 250) = 3300cm ²

So we can conclude that Johan's and sitara's box is not same because...

T s a of Mohan ' s box - 11200 cm ²

Tsa of sitara box - 3300 cm².

This , they are different

Hope it is helpful!!!
