Price of the cooler including VAT = Rs. 5400

Let the original price of the cooler be Rs. 'x'

Then according to the question.

⇒ x + (x*7)/100 = 5400

⇒ x/1 + 7x/100 = 5400

Taking L.C.M. of the denominators and then solving it.

⇒ (100x + 7x)/100 = 5400

⇒ 107x/100 = 5400

⇒ 107x = 5400*100

⇒ x = 540000/107

⇒ x = Rs. 5046.72 or Rs. 5047 (Approximately) 

So, the original price of the cooler is Rs. 5047
