What is the difference between baking soda and washing soda chemically ? Which of them will be used as an ingredient to make cakes and why ?

Baking soda is NAHCO3 which is used in cakes.
Washing soda Is a NAHCO3 which is used as detergent for washing clothes.
Baking soda is used for making cakes because it makes the cake spongy and fluffy and cake swells up.
