The food got contaminated by flies and other insects near the roadside stall and when the boy ate it he suffered from food poisoning. It can be prevented by:
1. Keeping in check that the place in which food being made is clean.
2. Their aren't any houseflies near the ingredients.
3. The food is being made in clean utensils.

This is due to the harmful products which are released by the flies and eventually leads to the contamination of food with additional dangerous bacterium. It could be due to the Salmonellosis and caused by the bacteria Salmonella enteridis and S. typhimurium which often contaminate meat and other proteinaceous food particles (the reason is another bacteria used or combined with both by flies).
To prevent it, avoid the roadside stalled food at all costs, as they transfer the Bacterial Diarrhoea and eventually land onto the food through the discernment of waste through flies feet and wings. Try to cover the utensils and equipments and keep the food under check by covering it.
