Solution :-

Mohan cultivates either wheat or rice.

Geographical conditions required for wheat -

Wheat is a rabi crop and it is grown fro September to December in various states of India depending upon the suitable climate and the harvesting is done from February to may depending upon the climate as well.

Wheat requires 14° to 18° C temperature. High temperature is harmful for the cultivation of wheat. 50 cm to 100 cm rainfall is required for wheat cultivation. In its primary stage, cold moisture rich climate and at the time of harvesting  is required.

Fertile alluvial soil or mixed soil is ideal for wheat cultivation. Plain land or gentle slope is ideal for wheat cultivation.

Geographical conditions for rice -

Rice is the staple crop of India and it is a kharif crop. It is grown well in hot and moist climate.

16° to 27° C temperature and 100 cm to 200 cm rainfall is ideal for the cultivation of rice. But rainfall during the harvest time is harmful. Annual coverage temperature around 24° C is ideal.

Rice is grown well in the alluvial soil or the fertile river basin soil. It is also grown in mixed soil or loamy and clayey soil. Plain land or gentle slopes are suitable for the production of rice because stagnancy of water is a must for the cultivation of rice.
