Answer: 15

Explanation:

Let present age of Mohan be x, and the present age of his son be y

According to the first sentence

x = 3y

According to the second sentence

x + 5 = (2 + 1/2)(y + 5)

⇒ x + 5 = 5(y + 5)/2

⇒ 2x + 10 = 5y + 25

⇒ 2x - 5y = 15

⇒ 6y - 5y = 15          ;(x = 3y)

⇒ y = 15

Hope it helped
