Given :  Mohan, Preet and Harman are taking part in 100 meter race

Their probability of winning the race is as follows: P(Mohan) = 0.3, P(Preet) = 1⁄2, P(Harman) = 20%

To Find : Who has the highest probability to win the race

Solution :

Their probability of winning the race  for Mohan  P(Mohan) = 0.3

Their probability of winning the race  for Preet   P(Preet)  = 1/2 = 0.5

Their probability of winning the race  for Harman  P(Harman) = 20 %

= (20/100)

= 0.2

0.5  > 0.3  > 0.2

=> P(Preet)  > P(Mohan)  > P(Harman)

highest probability to win the race is of PREET
