Mohan went to a mall. He bought a water bottle from a shop in the mall for which he had to pay Rs, 60. The same water bottle was available for Rs.20 in the market outside the mall, He argued with the shopkeeper but found the maximum retail price (MRP) was also Rs. 60, Can he file a consumer case? Justify your answer

After reading the whole case we can conclude that Mohan cannot file a consumer case because the shop in the mall charged the MRP written on the bottle which is in no where harming the consumer rights.

The only difference is that mall shop owner is not providing any discount or scheme which is not a reason for filing consumer case.

Also, NOTE that case can be filed in the situation when shopkeeper charge more than MRP.
