Answer:

The money that left with Mohit is Rs 10.9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

let The amount of money does Mohit had = Rs x

Let The amount of money does Rohan has = Rs y

And, Mohit had twice as much money as Rohan.

i.e x = 2 y          ........A

Again

The amount of money spend by Mohit on chocolates = Rs 118.30

So, The money left with Mohit = Rs (x - 118.30)

And

The amount of money spend by Rohan on pen = Rs 31.90

So, The money left with Rohan = Rs (y - 31.90)

According to question

Rohan has 3 times as much money as Mohit had

i.e y - 31.90 = 3 × (x - 118.30)

Or, y - 31.90 = 3 x - 354.9

Or, 3 x - y = 323                 .........B

Solving eq A and eq B

3 × 2 y - y = 323

Or, 6 y - y = 323

Or, 5 y = 323

∴  y = \frac{323}{5}

i.e y = Rs 64.6

Put the value of y into eq A

∵  x = 2 y

So , x = 2 × 64.6

i.e  x = Rs 129.2

So, The money left with Mohit = Rs (129.2 - 118.30)

Or, The money left with Mohit = Rs 10.9

Hence, The money that left with Mohit is Rs 10.9   Answer
