The sum is rs.3600

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the principal be x

rate of interest = 10%

Time = 6 years

Simple interest = Rs.2160

Formula : SI =\frac{P \times T \times R}{100}

Si = Simple interest

T = time

R = rate of interest

Substitute the values in the formula :

2160 =\frac{x \times 6 \times 10}{100}

\frac{2160 \times 100}{6\times 10} =x

3600=x

Hence The sum is rs.3600
