• The South-west wind system is travelling from Madagascar and reaches India through Arabian Ocean, Indian Sea and Bay of Bengal. So, mainly it is a sea breeze which reaches the land.
• The North-west wind system is also known as the retreating monsoon winds which occurs in the month of October and November.
• And finally the westerlies are mainly the western disturbances that enter the Indian subcontinent during the winter season.
