Molality: Molal concentration is the measurement of the degree of concentration of a solute in a solution. Molal concentration is also called molality.

Given:

Aqueous common salt solution

Mass = 100 g

20 % ( w /w )

Formula:

Molality =  ( Mass / Molar mass ) / mass of solvent

Here

Mass of the common salt = 20 / 100 * 100

Hence,

Mass of the common salt = 20 g

To calculate molar mass,

Molar mass of ( Common salt ) =  40 g / mol

Hence,

Substituting,

Molality = ( ( 20 / 40 ) * 1000 ) / 100

0.5 * 10

Molality = 5 m
